Trump is NOT pro Putin - just caught up by an optimistic "cloud cuckoo land" fantasy vision with his idea of ending the war in Ukraine in 24 hours
I don't think it is correct to suggest Trump has any other purpose except to literally believe he can end the Ukraine war in 24 hours and to see that as a reason for people to vote for him. He has at least managed to convince himself well enough to run with this as one of his election pledges, if he is the Republican candidate.
He is not pro Putin. He is just very naive and thinks that Trump can easily brought back to the path of reasonableness and peace with Ukraine and that Ukraine will agree.
Zelensky's response is that he just needs 24 minutes with Trump to show him that this is not possible.
If Trump did become president on that remote chance then if he stopped supporting Ukraine, then Europe would just step up more which they also have to do this year if the USA doesn't come through on its budget for Ukraine.
I am not convinced that Trump would stop supporting Ukraine. Boris Johnson doesn't think he would. After all he was the first president to give Ukraine basic defences against tanks with the Javelin anti-tank missiles.
I think right now he is just naive and he thinks he can end the war in 24 hours with a peaceful settlement. I don't think he sees that as a way to start another war, far from it, I think he genuinely believes that if he was president he would just talk to Putinand to Zelensky and within 24 hours the war would end for good in a solution that they both agree to amicably.
He is in cloud cuckoo land as they say. But he may well believe it.
I think he believes it in the sense that some people who are very confident believe in something just because it is their own idea. . And even when they have that confidence and fail many times some people continue to be confident that it will work this time every time.
After all he has had some successes such as his meetings with Kim Jong Un which certainly greatly reduced NK / SK tensions.

The world "cloud cuckoo land" refers to a utopian land in the skies (a wordly paradise in the skies) and goes back to a mythical kingdom, "cloud cuckoo land" or Nephelokokkygia in created by birds in Aristophanes play "The Birds" in which the birds become gods with the help of humans. The Birds (play) - Wikipedia In modern times it goes back to Schopenhauer who used the word Wolkenkuckucksheim or Cloud Cuckoo Land inspired by the Greek idea.
Wikipedia summarizes it as:
QUOTE Cloud cuckoo land is a state of absurdly, over-optimistic fantasy or an unrealistically idealistic state of mind where everything appears to be perfect. Someone who is said to "live in cloud cuckoo land" is a person who thinks that things that are completely impossible might happen, rather than understanding how things really are.[1] It also hints that the person referred to is naive, unaware of realities or deranged in holding such an optimistic belief. Zelensky responded to Trump's claim by saying if Trump will visit him in Ukraine he will explain to Trump in 24 minutes why it can't work.
. Zelenskyy says he only needs ‘24 minutes’ to explain to Trump he ‘can’t bring peace’ in Ukraine
COMMENTS DISABLED FOR A FEW HOURS TO A DAY OR TWO AFTER POSTING - CONTACT ME VIA PM OR ON FACEBOOK OR EMAIL THE BEST WAY TO CONTACT ME AS I DON’T GET NOTIFICATIONS FOR MANY COMMENTS ON MY POSTS
This post seems likely to lead to dumb comments by people new to the blog.
Those comments I get in the first few minutes or hours often are by people who haven’t read the post and just respond to the title and comment saying they don’t believe the title, - with many mistakes in their comments due to not reading what I said.
I write these blog posts to help the vulnerable scared people who are my main audience, otherwise I wouldn’t ‘care about the dumb comments. But hey scare the vulnerable people I am trying to help especially when I haven’t seen them yet and so haven’t answered. So I have to monitor the post and answer every comment which takes up a lot of time - and the comments scare people even when I have answered them as the first thing they see is the scary comment before they see my fact check which debunks it. Some of the people i help are very easily triggered and are doing their best to reduce their exposure to the triggers that lead them to panic attacks and even suicidal thoughts and intentions.
Do say if you find anything in this I need to correct, any mistake any question etc via private message or direct message or in comments in the Facebook groups when I share it there.
If you need to talk to me about something do contact me it is often far better to do so via private / direct messaging because Quora often fails to notify me of comment replies.
You can Direct Message my profile (then More >> messages).
Or better, email me at support@robertinventor.com
Or best of all Direct Message me on Facebook if you are okay joining Facebook. My Facebook profile is here:
I usually get those messages much faster than on the other platforms as I spend most of my day there.

I have just started a new page called “short debunks”. This has all the substantial debunks I do for the Facebook group. As you see I do many more of these, often ten a day, far too many to write them all up as blog posts., It only has the most recent short debunks, it would take ages to update it with older ones.
But if there is something scaring you in the news you may find I have debunked it here already.
