The true heroes and true brave and kind hearts in the world - not Netanyahu or Putin - taking the side of peace
- if you get caught up in anger with them it can help to turn those values upside down
Think about how rough anger is in yourself. Then think how awful a state of mind it is for the likes of Putin and Netanyahu. They may think they are emotionally in a good place but who would want to exchange their lives to become either of them? I don't think many. That way you can start seeing things a bit differently instead of thinking about by how powerful people seem to be and whether they seem to be able to order other people to do things. They are not really very powerful at all if they are harming others and not able to find their way to true kindness and peace of mind, they are the opposite, they are being controlled by their emotions so they are very weak.

E.g. Netanyahu. He could have avoided all this and found a way forward that was far safer for Israel and for Gaza and ended up with the sympathy of the entire world behind him if he hadn't resorted to bombing civilians in Gaza Strip which is not helping his objectives at all. But he was overcome by his own emotions and the pressure from his people and his own far right views and ideology and so ended up in this situation. So he ended up doing all this out of a kind of weaknesses not strength.
While the doctors and nurses and the many others who are working so hard to save injured people in Gaza Strip and especially the ones who never deviate from their humanitarian aims. The doctors who stayed in the hospital in Gaza City and wouldn't leave the babies in incubators and the patients in intensive care behind to save their own lives. They are the ones who are strong as in having a good heart, ethically in character. And - they are doing heroic things
but only their colleagues family, friends and of course the patients know about them, and they won't get gold stars as heroes or heroines and most will never be mentioned in newspapers.
So, you can turn things around.
Look at all this upside down to how many in the world see it.
Instead look at it by how kind they are, compassionate, how peaceful their mind is, whether they are in a good state mentally. And associating with kind people and developing kindness in yourself and also patience too - it's easy to be kind and compassionate when everyone around you is being nice too. But to be kind, patient, peaceful when you are in a difficult situation isn't so easy.

Here is an example of someone who we can admire as a true hero with a true brave heart. Sharing on Nitter for those who can't use or block Twitter.

Today, I met Fatima, one of Gaza's heroes from North Gaza. She's actively supporting displaced children in the refugee camp through psycho-social initiatives and games. We need brave hearts to help others now. The children of # Gaza truly deserve our support and compassion 💙On Nitter Click to visit tweet and watch video

Rabbi Erwin Keller has shared this beautiful poem he wrote:
Today I am taking sides.
I am taking the side of Peace.
Peace, which I will not abandon
even when its voice is drowned out
by hurt and hatred,
bitterness of loss,
cries of right and wrong.I am taking the side of Peace
whose name has barely been spoken
in this winnerless war.I will hold Peace in my arms,
and share my body’s breath,
lest Peace be added
to the body count.I will call for de-escalation
even when I want nothing more
than to get even.
I will do it
in the service of Peace.I will make a clearing
in the overgrown
thicket of cause and effect
so Peace can breathe
for a minute
and reach for the sky.I will do what I must
to save the life of Peace.
I will breathe through tears.
I will swallow pride.
I will bite my tongue.
I will offer love
without testing for deservingness. So don’t ask me to wave a flag today
unless it is the flag of Peace.
Don’t ask me to sing an anthem
unless it is a song of Peace.
Don’t ask me to take sides
unless it is the side of Peace.Irwin Keller, Oct. 17, 2023

Here is a song by the Doctors in Al Awdah hospital singing “We will stay here until the pan passes”
video: Doctors in Gaza defiantly sing ‘We will stay here until the pain passes”
We will stay here until the pain passes
We will live here.. The song will be sweet
My homeland, my homeland.. my proud homeland
Despite the enemy’s conspiracy… despite all their revenge
We will strive for blessings to prevail
We will aim… to lift all aspirations
With an ascent to the heights and unity with the peaks
Let’s all take the medicine and the pen
Forgiveness is ours from those battling illness
Let’s keep moving towards more significant goals
And indeed, we will be the best nation among nations
We will stay here until the pain passes
We will live here.. The song will be sweet
