It makes me upset that Microsoft tries to force the news down your throat and doesn’t care to easily elaborate how to turn off the news. It would be much nicer if MSN was more like our NPR here and shared good stories too.
Yes. I don't know if this could be legally enforced, it might be if there was enough fuss about it. Because of the harm of clickbait, if it became widely accepted that clickbait about world wars harms vulnerable people maybe they could be in countries like the UK and the EU, probably not in the USA because of the free speech rules but there could be pressure on them to change there too.
